Patriots QB Mac Jones Is Attempting To Regain The Team’s Respect After A Terrible Season
Last week, there was a definite difference in quarterback Mac Jones.
In his first press conference following the completion of a disastrous 2022 season, he seemed at comfortable. After a challenging second season in the NFL, a relaxed Jones showed a humbled, vulnerable side that was more real and less robotic and cliché-filled than what often transpired in those Q&As.

Speaking to reporters over the past week, the former first-round pick, who was closely watched last season in New England where there was a maligned offensive coaching change and system to boot, vowed how he’s “going to do everything I can to earn the respect of everybody in this building again.”

Jones’ work ethic to improve on the field this offseason was never in question; it’s something coach Bill Belichick has consistently mentioned and did so again last week when he said, “Mac works hard every day. He puts in a lot of time in the weight room, the classroom, on the field. His work ethic is really good and hasn’t changed.”
